Kevin and I met Edgar Martinez today. He was signing autographs at Mill Creek Sports for quite a large number of excited fans. We saw some crazy things get signed like a seat from a movie theater. When we got up to his table, he was totally cool and gracious and we had a nice conversation.

As a “blog bonus” I’m including a few photos from my brother-in-law Gary’s big night with family at Safeco Field this summer. It just happened to be the night that Edgar was inducted into the Mariner Hall of Fame. Edgar made a pretty cool speech. We all chanted ED-GAR, ED-GAR until it was time to stop and listen.

We had a great evening. You gotta love these guys.
