Yesterday afternoon I rode the ferry home from Whidbey Island. I usually don’t get out of the car for the short jaunt from Clinton to Mukilteo, but because the sun was shining and the air was clear, I grabbed my camera and went up to the observation deck. A couple tourists asked me to take their picture and then I spotted a bunch of seagulls flying close to the boat where a woman was eating her lunch. They flew so close that upon review of the photos, I felt I flew among them.
