Rick is celebrating 25 years of service at Genie. And he doesn’t look a day older than his first day on the job. The photos don’t lie. Rick, what’s your secret?

Take a stroll through this collection of photos featuring Rick at different stages of his career. Can you tell which photo was taken just last week? No? I didn’t think so.

    Dad,
I am so proud of you. I can’t believe you have been with Genie since I was born. I have so much Genie pride because MY DAD is the product safety engineer manager safety king! Plus, you have the longest title of anyone I know! I am so thankful that I am an engineers daughter. You have taught me so many useful things that I carry with me. I have so many fond memories of sitting in the garage and watching you build things, or seeing your drawings on every napkin we had in the house. I love you dad, and I am so proud to be your daughter! Congratulations! I look forward to your retirement, and you paying to take Josh and I everywhere you guys go ;) (I wish)
    Love,
    Erin Newton

    Rick -
Congratualtions on a quarter century at Genie! Though I don’t work with you at Genie, I have the privilege of playing music and ministering with you. (and hanging out & eating great food with you & Jean!) You are a great friend and brother…

    All the Best,
    Brad

Rick – I’ll echo what everyone else has said – Congratulations on 25 years at Genie and cheers to many more. Thanks for everything that you have done and what you continue to do – you’re great to work with. How do you continue to keep looking younger??

Thanks for sharing your love of landscaping with me – it got us motivated and you’ll have to come and see what we’ve done. You and what you have created was a great inspiration – now I’m on the hunt for those “unique” plants as well!!

All the best to you – Debbie

    Rick,

It really is amazing to see that you have been at Genie for 25 years…why? Because you could make a fortune with the new Band Stand…everyone sing it with me!

    We’re goin’ hoppin’ (Hop)
    We’re goin’ hoppin’ today
    Where things are poppin’ (Pop)
    The Philadelphia way
    We’re gonna drop in (Drop)
On all the music they play
    On the Bandstand (Bandstand)

Jokes aside, thank you for your great contribution to the greater cause and much success to another 25.

    Dion

    Rick –

Just seeing the name “Rick Curtain” come up on my phone display invoked me to think, “What did I do now?” Good thing those fears are behind me knowing what a great guy you are! Congratulations on your 25 years!
    God Bless,

    Jason

Where does time go? I was a year behind you and we were both young, now we are both old but you still look young. How fair is that? Guess working in legal has some fountain of youth properties. If Anton is right and we must toil 25 more, I will be committed long before that date.

Congratulations and best wishes for good health and prosperity for you and your family.

    Dear Rick,

I’ll always remember how shocked I was to find out that you are 77 years old.

You’re an all around great guy, fantastic storyteller and tons of fun to ‘hang’ with. Let’s do lunch.

Congrats on your 25 years, just 25 more to go!

    Anton

Rick, thanks for being my friend. You are crazy and insane, spontaneous, full of life and just basically fun to be around. And you have been a tremendous encouragement during some of the challenging times in my life. I think you’re cool and brilliant and basically, you should be celebrated. So here we are, celebrating your you-ness. Keep it going. You should expand your you-ness into more things because we would all benefit. Congratulations on 25 years of accomplishment and contribution. You are amazing. God bless you. Now, back to you. -Phil

    Rick:

WOW …25 years …that almost sounds like a quarter of a century ( ha ha) You are way to young to have worked 25 years for Genie unless we started our Intern Program rigth out of Grade Scool.

You , my friend, are one very gifted and talented individual. Your sense of purpose and professional persistence coupled with your friendly and dynamic personality make you such a great asset to Genie/Terex. It is truly a pleasure and an honor to know you and work with you.
Keep up the great work and God Bless you and your family.
    Best Regards
    Tom Bligh

    Rick:

We’ve worked together for MANY years (that must mean we’re the same age), and I’ve enjoyed our talks, the laughs, the memories. You worked so hard, and you always kept your sense of humor and dedication to what you believe in. Thanks for the good times.

I am so happy that Phil did this expose because I still maintain you look YOUNGER than the day I met you!! :)

There are no words… You are an incredible friend, co-worker (and deponent, of course) and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with and learn from you for so many years.

    Rick,

Were there child labor laws 25 years ago? What was it like working as a 10 year old? Thanks for making Genie a great place to work. Aging is an attitude “awesome man” your defying gravity!

May God continue to bless you beyond your wildest imagination.

i watch (and enjoy) rick’s musical talents every sunday at our church – rick is drummer of all drummers….just watch rick in a casual setting – he’s constantly engaged in turning a comment or response into a table pounding diatribe.

rick is the best – i appreciate his commitment, dedication, deep love for this bride and his family –

    regards
