A great day can be a treasure. This great day started by meeting my friend Scott Burnett at a recording session being produced by another friend and colleague, Geoff Ogle. Scott and I soaked up the studio ambiance for awhile and then went over to a coffee shop on Queen Anne for a sweet cup of Joe and deep thoughts about faith, art and life.

Later we wandered around the Key Arena and chanced to see a group hoping to catch a glimpse of Paul’s arrival. Scott saw a couple friends and while we were hanging out, Paul’s motorcade arrived. I snapped the photo where Paul’s arm covers his face. Kenny Shaw snapped the photo where you can see Paul’s face. It was great running into Paul. Soon after, we met up with another friend, Brad Cecil and went over to Thai Heaven for dinner and more chatter about art and life.

Our seats pegged maximum on the nose bleed scale, but it didn’t matter. We were in Paul’s house. It was a great show and a great day. The photo at the top of this post is the best shot from my camera.
