I remember Jill being the highly anticipated first grandchild of Kathy and Larry. Kathy, after raising four boys, was so very eager and delighted to meet and welcome this sweet little girl into the family. She was surrounded by love. The firstborn of Sally and Greg. She grew into an accomplished young woman. I have a special memory of being asked to say a few words and pray for the meal at the family gathering celebrating the completion of her graduate studies. She married, started a business and became a mother. She and Alex were pregnant with a baby girl when breast cancer was diagnosed. Everything was done. All avenues were explored. Last month, she was moved to hospice care and yesterday, she left us. She rests in God’s care now. Cut down in the first bloom of her adult life.

Jill was preceded by:

Carmen (Great-Grandmother, ovarian cancer)
Larry (Grandfather, leukemia)
Greg (Father, pancreatic cancer)
